Let's Share The Winter

Looking for love in North Yorkshire, the inspiration for numerous books and songs - including this one! Richard Durrant plays mandolins, classical and steel strung guitars. Jez Wiles plays percussion. The vocal arrangement was written by Philip Jewson, and tracked up by Ben and myself. I play steel strung guitar and the bass is Ben. Special thanks to Matthew Binns for helping us demo this track.

Cold ice blows
My eyes half closed
Trying to see you
Desolate winds
Forsaken landscape
Wilderness without you
Alone I stand
Gazing out to see you
And I want you
How I want you

To come to me run to me
And I'll hold you how I'll hold you

Let's share the winter
These snow-covered peaks
Let's share our hearts
Things won't seem so bleak
Let's share the winter
These frozen northlands
Will know such joy
As we walk hand in hand

Frosted vapour words tumble from my lips
You're beautiful, so beautiful
From far away I've watched you
I've seen your smile that says
Through bitter winds blowing
You want me too

Come to you run to you
And you'll hold me how you'll hold me

Let's share the winter
These snow-covered peaks
Let's share our hearts
Things won't seem so bleak
Let's share the winter
These frozen northlands
Will know such joy
As we walk hand in hand
